So for this product I want to make a logo for a tournament for the game Dota 2 that will run at WSU. We currently do not have a Dota 2 team at the school and believe that having a tournament at our school would spark an interest in making a school team. We do not have a lot of money for our esports club/ teams. We already have logos and a foundation for us to start teams at WSU. This tournament will invite lots of teams from the PAC 12 that will participation the tournament. I think it would be good to have other teams there to bridge the gap between school eports programs.
For the design as a whole I really wanted to get the Dota 2 symbol out there on top of some cool shape. The shape could be improved upon with maybe added more triangles to the ends of the hexagon. I also really like the red to black colors. The gradient I made really fits with the color scheme of the game and also our color way as a whole school. I really wanted to try to make the words pop out so much I picked a white color and made it a stroke outline so the inside red and black colors will show trough.

Your logo is brilliant! It already looks like something I could find on a flyer around campus. It was extremely hard for me to come up with suggestions for you, as I believe you could probably turn this in as is and receive full credit. Two that come to mind would be maybe bold the word “Tournament”. I think the word tournament is just as important as “Open”, and it should be bolded a little more. I also thing you could make all of the words slightly larger too. An area that you excelled in is the design itself. The gradient job is very unique and the red border through the middle of the shape really ties it all together. I also like the font you chose for your words, it’s very different and draws attention to the logo. Fantastic work! Keep it up!

I really love your logo! I can totally see it being in magazines or newspapers around Wsu and Pullman! I think you made great use of the gradient tool to create the red look, and you uses really cool fonts to make your logo words stand out! I don’t have really any suggestions to make because I really enjoy your design! If there was something, you could maybe make the word “tournament” more vibrant so it’s easier to read! And also when writing your paragraph, make sure to address all the information you’re supposed to write about! And you can find that in the course schedule and instructions on your logo post!

Your logo definitely gives off the game feel and I’m not too familiar with esports but I’m pretty sure they first came about in Korea which your logo gives off that feeling. One suggestion I would make would be is to somehow put contribute esports or Dota 2 on to your logo for people aren’t all too familiar with esports to kind of get a sense of what you’re talking about. Second suggestion I have is to make the outline for the word tournament thicker or change the font of the words to something more bold because in my opinion the word is getting a little washed away with the dark background and from reading a little bit that’s what the logo is promoting. Overall your logo is super nice and creative it is very eye catching I hope some of my suggestions helped a little bit can’t wait to see the final product!

So, after looking over my design and looking at the comments my peers have given me there are a couple improvements that I need to make. First being I need to bolden the word “tournament” doing this will definitely help with the contrast of the three words. I think improving the explanation or word choice I use in the design would help draw more people in who do not recognize the game logo.
