I think that my favorite project throughout the course has to be the photoshop assignment. It being one of the beginning projects really made it exciting and fun to learn new tools. I liked my idea and logo made with the assignment, so that helped. There are plenty of skills learned throughout this course. I think the fact that now I have a basic understanding of so many different adobe cloud products that I can now go forth and expand more on is really awesome. I believe that I will use almost all of the products and applications that I learned in the future. I want to work for an esports productions organization and the kind of media that was created in the class will help me have a baseline for future projects. I wish that there were more levels to the tutorials. I think that focusing on one application or program and hitting it really hard would be a fun idea for a class. I mean if they offer one at WSU, I will probably take it. I think after effects is a really cool program that I would have loved to have learned a little about. So maybe I will take some classes in the future that teach it. when looking for outside help I really just looked at YouTube videos of people using the specific tools in each application. I also used some random websites for the copyright free music or sounds. Those websites came in handy a decent amount of times over this course. I think one thing that I would do is give more time for the turnarounds and tutorials for each section. I believe this would help each student. Maybe space each individual tutorial out to give each tutorial more thought.
Final Video
When I was looking for ideas of a video, I really didn’t know what angle I wanted to take the project. I spent a couple days thinking what a cool idea would be. I came around to maybe a commercial type video of someone coming home from school and wanting to get away from life’s blunders to another world. The other world being a video game world that you can do so much. I went with the game Fortnite because it is by far the most recognizable video game at the moment. This choice was important because for others to know and understand capture a bigger audience.
For the creation of the video we spend a couple minutes taking actions shots of my friend coming home from school, and directly going to his Xbox to play video games. Once I had those videos, I spliced them together cutting out lots of unneeded video. Once the order was figured out, I went to my PC and recorded some footage of Fortnite. This footage had lots drawn out loading, so I cut the video up and just skipped around to tell the story of playing the game. Then cut back out to my friend happily playing the game. I added some epic music over the gameplay and went to create simple starting and ending text slides. I added the WSU esports team logo to the last slide to show that there is a club.
Final draft
This is a very rough draft of my assignment, this draft came together just crom cuts of the already taken video. This draft does not include audio editing of adding music, or include the in game video. The narrative is not quite there yet.
The story that is trying to be told is after school its great to jump into games, why not play with friends. And if you want to meet more people playing games like fornite join the esports club. I am going to be honest i am kind of stuck with more actions that i should add to the beginning. maybe a kid leaving the classroom and going/ walking home.
The cuts are very simple at this point and will need to be stabilized and set to make all the cuts around more clean. The Music I want to add will be subtle in the background and will fill the audio while not ruining the sounds of the actor or the game. I want to add something to the end with ingame footage where they say “where we dropping boys” or some iconic fortnite lingo like that.
This is a reminder that I know it is not that great, and that’s why we have rough drafts.

Audio Final
For this assignment I wanted to use it as a way to ask important questions to people of the WSU community about esports. I asked simple questions because if they were too complex I feel like people would not want to answer the questions. I opened asking if they knew anything about esports and why they didn’t know anything. This was important to leave a baseline for any background knowledge. The following questions came to light after wanting to know what ways if there are any on how to get the word out about our esports club, and how to get the word out about tournaments. I also wanted to know if they believed that esports player or anything along the lines of a pro gamer is a “athlete”. The answers were basically the same saying in their own way.
For the creation of the file I went with my phone to simply use the memos app to record our interview. I did this for both of the people and then transferred it over to my computer. After I did that I created a new mix and played both tracks out. I listen to each to find out where the best annunciation for the questions were and cut those out. I then went and cut out the answers from both of my subjects and looked for the best answers. That is why some of the questions only has one answer. I liked stacking the answers on top of each other to make it sound like they answered the questions together, or in the same place. I then added the intro to give a little more context to what the following audio would be. It was unfortunate I have been sick this whole week and my voice sounds dead in it. I tried to help it but it didn’t really help.

So for this product I want to make a logo for a tournament for the game Dota 2 that will run at WSU. We currently do not have a Dota 2 team at the school and believe that having a tournament at our school would spark an interest in making a school team. We do not have a lot of money for our esports club/ teams. We already have logos and a foundation for us to start teams at WSU. This tournament will invite lots of teams from the PAC 12 that will participation the tournament. I think it would be good to have other teams there to bridge the gap between school esports programs.
For the design as a whole I really wanted to get the Dota 2 symbol out there on top of some cool shape. The shape could be improved upon with maybe added more triangles to the ends of the hexagon. I also really like the red to black colors. The gradient I made really fits with the color scheme of the game and also our color way as a whole school. I really wanted to try to make the words pop out so much I picked a white color and made it a stroke outline, so the inside red and black colors will show trough.
The revisions made after feedback were very minimal things. Starting with the worlds I changed the fonts around to make it easier to read. I also added more stroke to the letters to make the lines pop out more.
