Graphic Design Final

So for this assignment I decided to make a design for the Washington State University Dota 2 esport team. This design was supposed to be simple and include the general WSU team logo with aspects from the actual game and the events around the game. To start I took the tournament photo with the crowd as the back ground. Then I went out and pasted the top image of the in-game characters to the photo. Making sure it was on top of the crowd photo. I cut out the characters from the game photo, then I went and took the logo and but it against a black background to make it pop out more. I cut out the words of the in-game character photo. I then placed the cougar’s words on top of where the two photos get blended together. I then magic paint bucketed the whole cougar word and turned the white color to black to make it blend better. This made the red look a lot cleaner with the two other photos. I then went to the esport logo that I got from the club team. I had to go around the edges of the photo with the lasso tool to cut it out from its original photo. Then I transferred it over to the draft and tried to find the right placement for it. I ended up putting in the cougar logo because I think it fits better where the “O” is.

For the whole design I was going for either a header of a twitter promotion photo. These types of photos are critical for an organization anda team. The use of headers is cool to have for an organization because each player and account can have a little different style to the same photo. Like they can change the bold crimson cougars to their username.  The top can also be replaced for what game they are going to be playing or what team they play for.

Career Path

My Career Path:

For this class I have decided to write and talk about what my career path is and what I want out of that career. I am currently studying sport management at school and want that degree to move me into the world of esports. Esports is and will be the sport of the future, and I hope that I will one day work in the industry.  This would be a big dream of mine. There are two area of work I would like to be in the esports world. I would love to work at a production company that deals with putting on events for a video game or a third-party organizer like MLG or ESL.

Another cool option that I have always thought about doing is being a team manager for an esports organization. I feel like that would be very cool and with the way esports are right now would mean I get to travel with the teams and deal with any conflicts that arise. I have always been good and dealing with problems and dealing with them quickly.

I plan to create and use a lot of materials that are available to the public copyright free that comes with a lot of the games and esports organizations.

https://greenwall.gg/ This first link is to an esports team out of Dallas Texas and they are one of the biggest teams and organizations in north America at the moment.

https://beyondthesummit.tv/ This is a production company out of California that deals with representing talent, casters and make very creative works for esports. This is kind of a less corporate production company all about the community.

https://www.eslgaming.com/ This is one of the biggest esports production companies. They are more corporate then Beyond the summit which means larger events and more opportunity for jobs.
